"A World of
Hope" Beadmaking
Now that you have seen
some of the beads I make, I have created a beadmaking workshop which I
wish to call "A World of Hope".
| ___ |
The beads are made out
of polymer clay which is available in an assortment of colours which I
have assembled in my sampler kit. To create sparkling, prismatic
and frosty effects, my kit also contains an assortment of fine glitters
and pearl powders which we will apply to the clay while I show you
the techniques I use to create the beads in my collection.
|
___ |
In each and every ball
of clay, no matter the size or the colour, there is always a world of
hope. You hold it in your hand and as you work it into whatever
you would like to make of it, the creative force that flows through you
turns it into something beautiful, meaningful and powerful for the
person to whom the workshop is being dedicated.
The idea is to bring
friends and family together around the tables of our homes to support
the people in our lives who are affected by ovarian cancer. Making
beads is a colourful and creative way of sharing time together and
making something beautiful, meaningful and powerful of it.
To see
what I have accomplished with my art so far, for the annual Ovarian
Cancer Canada Windsor Walk of Hope, visit my page
dedicated to "Creating
for the Cure."
